As a skilled UX Product Designer and Researcher, I apply user-centered methodologies to create impactful designs for digital products. My passion lies in understanding user needs and translating them into scalable solutions.
An adventurous outlook and spirit helps me be a better designer by opening my mind to new ideas and perspectives.
I spearheaded UX Research projects for a banking product line (one of many at the company) where UXR was not a part of the product lifecycle.
This work demonstrated the need to establish a UX Research group, which was created as a team of 6-9 who supported several products.
It also led to improvements to the products and process based on analysis and participant feedback.
"Art of the Possible" Modernization projects included analyzing current state, benchmarking and providing recommendations.
Working closely with product managers, business owners, and development teams to recommend, design and deliver concepts, wire frames and mockups for a legacy banking product line. Also taught an undergraduate UX interaction design course that modeled a workplace project.
I helped successfully shift how to incorporate UX in agile methodology.
Solutioning for an established product challenged the balance of creativity, innovation and maintaining a consistent user experience.
A freakish capacity for spatial reasoning, starting meaningful conversations, and using design thinking to find solutions has contributed to success. I embrace learning new things and sharing my experience with others from teaching interaction design to yoga.
Leadership roles include board positions at a non-profit community agency, the rowing club, and neighborhood association. Also an active member and volunteer at the Rotary Club, the Rowing Club, Curling Club, and other neighborhood organizations.
